Randy Orton is once again looking to book his own future in wrestling through social media, this time teasing a possible switch to AEW.

Back in 2010, Randy Orton signed a ten-year deal with the WWE, so that contract is set to expire next year.

With The Viper now being ten years older and on the tail end of his wrestling career, he's looking for a lighter schedule.

In what could be an attempt to play AEW and WWE against each other in upcoming contract talks, Orton has teased joining AEW in a recent social media post.

Orton posted a picture on Instagram of himself looking at a sign that says 'ELITE LEVEL.'

The post caption reads 'tick tock tick tock' and The Viper also tagged Riddick Moss, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, Luke Harper, AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes, and AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

Jericho commented on the post saying: "Send in a tape and some pix and I'll see what I Can do…." with a wink emoji.

Obviously, this is Orton and Jericho having a little bit of fun on social media, but this isn't the first time The Viper has talked about WWE's newest rivals in the wrestling world.

After the debut episode of AEW Dynamite, Orton praised AEW's debut on TNT and also talked about doing a potential match with Sammy Guevara in the future.

Since Orton has been with WWE for over 15 years, it would be very surprising if WWE doesn't push the boat out and meet his contract requirements in order to keep him at the company for the foreseeable future.

This isn't the first time Orton has tried to book his wrestling future on social media, as a couple of weeks ago before SmackDown's debut on Fox, he teased having a future WrestleMania match vs The Rock.

The Viper can still go strong inside the squared circle and AEW would utilise him to full effect if he were to join them.

WWE should do everything in their power to stop that from becoming a reality once Orton's contract expires next year.

In the meantime, Orton is going to have some fun with wrestling fans on social media.
