All Call of Duty games ranked from best to worst

Few video game franchises are as influential and successful as Call of Duty.

What began as a polished World War 2 shooter has morphed into something else entirely over the last 15 years, with games transporting players from the Vietnam War to the far reaches of space.

No matter the location or story, CoD games usually deliver heart pounding single player campaigns and intensive competitive multiplayer operations.

Black Ops 4 introduced another thrilling experience into the fold with its battle royale mode, and UK gamers can expect further enhancements in the eagerly anticipated launch of Modern Warfare, which will be released worldwide tomorrow.

It marks the return to the ‘Modern Warfare’ sub-franchise, which Infinity Ward hasn’t worked on since Modern Warfare 3, which was released back in 2011.

With so many blockbusters under its bulging belt, it’s no easy task picking out the best best CoD games, but that’s exactly what one gamer has done.

@AreZeroZeroEm has ranked games in the following order on Twitter.

A* (S) - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
