Erling Haaland made yet more headlines and enhanced his burgeoning reputation on Wednesday after scoring his 19th and 20th goals of the season for Red Bull Salzburg.

The 19-year-old, who has been capped twice by Norway, has reached the 20-goal mark in just 13 matches.

Haaland also became the first player in Champions League history to score six goals in his first three games in the competition following his brace against Napoli.

The 6ft 4in Norwegian, who is the son of former Leeds United midfielder Alf-Inge and was born in the English city in July 2000, is fast becoming one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.

Plenty of Manchester United fans were pleading with their club on social media to sign the teenager after his latest performance.

And they will be interested to hear that, as things stand, Old Trafford is considered by the bookmakers as Haaland’s most likely next destination.

Here are the most likely clubs to sign Haaland before 3 February. 2020, per SkyBet

Leeds United | 20/1

Haaland said in 2017 that his “dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds” - but it’s hard to imagine him signing for the team he supporters unless they escape from the Championship.

Real Madrid | 14/1

If Haaland hits the 30-goal mark before the end of January - which seems very likely - it’s easy to imagine Florentino Perez getting out the chequebook for the talented teen.

Manchester City | 14/1

Is Haaland a Pep Guardiola-type player? With competition for a first-team place so fierce at the Etihad Stadium, a move to City might not be in the youngster’s best interests.

Liverpool | 12/1

Liverpool don’t really need him, do they?

Barcelona | 6/1

If Haaland is content to rotate with Luis Suarez then a move to Camp Nou might make sense.

Manchester United | 5/1

Man Utd are in desperate need of a new centre-forward and Haaland ticks all the boxes. What is Ed Woodward waiting for?
