After more European action in the Champions League and Europa League, attention turns back to domestic football this weekend and the Premier League.

Last weekend saw Liverpool drop points for the first time this season as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford by a much improved Manchester United side. Leicester continued their strong start to the year with a 2-1 victory over Burnley, and Chelsea won their fifth game in a row after a late goal from Marcos Alonso secured all three points against Newcastle.

Sheffield United were triumphant at home against a lacklustre Arsenal side on the Monday Night Football, and Spurs' struggles continued after bottom of the table Watford held them to a 1-1 draw.

It’s gameweek 10 this weekend, and there are plenty of blockbuster ties in store.

Here is our preview, with a few helpful tips from GIVEMEBET along the way.

FRIDAY

Southampton vs Leicester

There’s Friday night action in the Premier League as Leicester travel to St Mary’s and take on a Southampton side on the brink of the relegation zone following four games without a win.

The Saints drew 1-1 with Wolves at the weekend following defeats against Chelsea, Tottenham and Bournemouth.

Leicester continue to grind out solid results with a 2-1 victory over Burnley their latest triumph.

SATURDAY

Manchester City vs Aston Villa

Manchester City host Aston Villa on Saturday lunchtime with both teams coming into the game in fine form.

City will be in high spirits after their 5-1 demolition of Atalanta on Tuesday night, sending them top of their Champions League group with three wins from three.

Aston Villa will undoubtedly be in a confident mood as well, after they secured back-to-back victories over Brighton and Norwich.

(GMB odds - Man City to win 5-0 12/1)

Brighton vs Everton

Brighton will aim to hit back from their painful late loss at Aston Villa as they welcome Everton to the Amex this Saturday.

Everton have also struggled this season, but received a huge boost last weekend following their much-needed 2-0 home victory over West Ham.

(GMB odds - Score draw 3/1)

Watford vs Bournemouth

Watford will be looking to record their first victory of the season when they host Bournemouth at Vicarage Road this Saturday.

The Hornets sit bottom of the Premier League having registered four draws and five defeats from nine games so far.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, managed to register their first clean sheet of the season in a 0-0 draw with Norwich last time out, and currently sit 10th in the league.

(GMB odds - Watford to win 6/5)

West Ham vs Sheffield United

On Monday night, the Blades recorded a famous Premier League victory over Arsenal as their impressive start to the season continues.

A first home goal from striker Lys Mousset gave Sheffield United a crucial 1-0 win over the Gunners, which, as a result, has moved them up to ninth in the table – level on points with this weekend’s opponent West Ham.

The Hammers have just one win in their last five Premier League outings and were outplayed last weekend by a struggling Everton side which has dashed early season optimism.

(GMB odds - West Ham to win 2-1 35/4)

Burnley vs Chelsea

Chelsea will hope to keep up their hot streak of form when they travel to Turf Moor on Saturday evening to face Burnley.

Burnley sit in eighth position in the league, but were beaten by Leicester last weekend after Chris Wood had a late equalising goal disallowed by VAR.

(GMB odds - Chelsea to win 1-0 9/1)

SUNDAY

Newcastle vs Wolves

After Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat at Chelsea last Saturday, The Magpies will be looking to bounce back at St James’ Park against a Wolves side who have shown much inconsistency in the league to date.

Wolves may also be suffering from a midweek hangover after their Europa League match against Slovan Bratislava in the Slovakian capital on Thursday.

(GMB odds - Newcastle to win 41/20)

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have shot off to a flying start in the Premier League as manager Roy Hodgson will look to upset an inconsistent Arsenal side that performed well below par on Monday night against Sheffield United.

Alexandre Lacazette’s return to fitness is timely for The Gunners and should ease the burden on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored seven goals in nine Premier League appearances.

(GMB odds - Palace to win 11/2)

Liverpool vs Tottenham

League leaders Liverpool take on a struggling Tottenham Hotspur side on Sunday at Anfield in a rematch of the Champions League final.

Klopp's men dropped their first league points of the season last weekend, whilst Spurs' struggles have been very well documented.

(GMB odds - Over 4.5 goals 3/1)

Norwich vs Manchester United

Norwich picked up their first away point of the season with a goalless draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.

Meanwhile, Manchester United ended Liverpool’s 100 per cent start to the campaign with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, but have had problems on the road this season.

(GMB odds - Norwich to win 33/10)
