Zlatan Ibrahimovic's comments after LA Galaxy's loss were peak Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Real Salt Lake v Los Angeles Galaxy

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not a happy man after his LA Galaxy side slumped to a 5-3 loss to city rivals Los Angeles FC on Thursday night.

It turned out to be somewhat of a double whammy for the enigmatic Swede as, not only were Galaxy knocked out of the MLS, but fierce rival Carlos Vela also netted a brace to compound his misery.

Zlatan's 31 goals in 31 games have all been scored in the shade of the massive shadow Vela is casting.

After being heckled by the crowd, the giant Swede appeared to grab his crotch as he angrily made his way from the field.

Then, speaking after the incident, Zlatan's incredible arrogance took centre stage.

"They said something. [I'm] not being disrespectful, but this is like training for me," Ibrahimovic said.

"The stadium is too small for me. This is a walk in the park."

"If I stay it will be good for MLS because the whole world will watch it," Ibrahimovic added.

If I don't stay, nobody will remember what MLS is.

Well, there you go - if ever you weren't sure of Zlatan's opinion of the MLS, now you are.

There is no doubting that Ibrahimovic is an asset to the MLS but he may want to choose his words more carefully in future.

With football growing from strength to the strength in the States, some fans might not take too kindly to the striker bashing their domestic league in such a manner.

On the other hand, when has Zlatan ever chosen his words carefully.

With rumours linking him with a move back to Europe, those comments could well be Zlatan's last act in America.

One thing is for sure - it has certainly been an adventure.
