How many world-class players are playing in the Premier League at the moment?

The answer to that question would vary from person-to-person.

Almost everyone would agree that Kevin De Bruyne is certainly fits into that category.

The Belgian midfielder has had a sensational start to the year and is arguably the best central midfielder in the world at the moment.

But who else playing in the Premier League's 'Big Six' are considered world-class?

One football fan on Twitter, @afcXav, has given their opinion on the players that are world-class currently playing for Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man United.

And below is the 15 players that were named...

Liverpool (6) - Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah

Manchester City (6) - Sergio Aguero, Ederson, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane

Spurs (1) - Harry Kane

Arsenal (1) - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Chelsea (1) - N'Golo Kante

Manchester United - None

ANALYSIS

GIVEMESPORT'S James Stroud says:

Liverpool: The football fan is spot on about the six Liverpool players named. Every player named is among the very best in their position.

Trent-Alexander Arnold could also be considered a world-class right-back.

Man City: Most would agree that Aguero, De Bruyne, Ederson, Silva and Sterling are world-class.

Sane is a very good player and could be world-class in the future, but hasn't quite done enough to be labelled among the very best in his position just yet.

Spurs: Kane has been a little hit and miss this season but remains one of the very best strikers in the world.

Arsenal: Aubameyang has been sensational for Arsenal since joining in 2018 and deserves to be labelled world-class.

Chelsea: There is absolutely no debate that Kante is world-class. The best defensive midfielder in the world.

Man United: David de Gea had a blip in 2018/19 but seems to have returned to his best form and could be considered world-class once again.

Paul Pogba is world-class on his day and could also be considered, although consistency remains his biggest issue.
