Tyson Fury has revealed that he may only fight three more times before calling an end to his boxing career.

The Gypsy King will make his WWE debut on October 31 when he faces Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

While there was speculation that Fury’s entrance into the wrestling world was a sign that the 31-year-old was done with boxing entirely, the man himself has confirmed he will be back in the ring.

It just won’t be for very long.

“I don't think I will have many more fights,” Fury began. “Maybe another three maximum. That's it.”

Whereas some boxing greats fought into their forties, such as Wladimir Klitschko, Fury believes his time is nearly up.

“I don't know what Klitschko's motivation was.

“I think I am coming to the tail end of my boxing career at the ripe old age of 31. It's a young man's game.

“I've had my time in the sun. A few more fights and I will relax on the beach somewhere.”

Before he hangs up his gloves, Fury has the small matter of a rematch with Deontay Wilder to look forward to.

The date for that rematch has been set as February 22 of next year, should Wilder come through unscathed in his clash with Luis Ortiz on November 23.

If all goes to plan, Wilder’s WBC title will be on the line when he steps in the ring with Fury, although the Gypsy King says belts do not interest him.

“When you are the lineal heavyweight champion, you are the best of your era.

“There have been 44 lineal heavyweight champions and I am number 44, so whatever alphabetical titles exist out there - and there are a lot of them - I am not interested in them.

“I have won every one. Every big organisation belt I have won before, including The Ring Magazine and everything else. The belts, I am not interested in.

“Whoever says Tyson Fury is not interested in winning belts, they are correct.

“I have tonnes of belts at home and plenty that I hang my trousers with. Belts are very useful and the most useful belt is the one I am wearing today to hold my trousers up.

“I don't need a belt to be considered the best. I am the lineal heavyweight champion of the world, 44th in history.”

While no one knows if we are actually seeing the end of Fury’s boxing career, the potential clash with Wilder just got bigger.
