All Elite Wrestling have announced their latest acquisition to their roster - and it's not someone with a seasoned history inside the squared circle.AEW have a roster full of experience, such as Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley and Cody Rhodes, but also young talents like Private Party and Sammy Guevara who have all the talent in the world. What they didn't have though was someone completely inexperienced who they can develop into their own star - until now.At a Southside Wrestling event in Stevenage, England this weekend, Cody Rhodes announced that he had captured the signature of Anthony Ogogo - a former professional boxer and Olympic bronze medalist. The 30-year-old picked up that medal up at the 2012 event in London, and he was undefeated as a professional until his 12th fight, where he picked up an eye injury in a loss to Craig Cunningham in 2016.

After multiple surgeries, Ogogo was forced to retire in March this year and he admitted his desire to try out pro wrestling, saying: "I think for me it would tick so many boxes. I have been a massive fan of it my entire life, I'm physically in the prime of my life.

"I want to utilise all the years of hard work, all the time in the gym, I'm very fit, very athletic and I think I'm going to give it a go - so watch this space."

That was in July, so it's only taken a few more months for his dreams to be realised.

Ogogo had an encounter with AEW star MJF at the Southside event, where he laid him out with a punch and told him he'd 'see him on Wednesdays'.

It's unlikely that we will see Ogogo for a while, as Cody Rhodes has labelled him a 'developmental project', so the likes of Dean Malenko and AEW's senior figures will likely be doing a lot of nurturing with him.

Some combat sport athletes take wrestling like a fish does to water - take the likes of Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle for example - so it will be interesting to watch how Ogogo copes with the rigours and demands of the business.
