Tyson Fury’s trainer Ben Davison shared on talkSPORT radio today (October 29), that his boxer is the closest thing that boxing currently has to legendary superstar Muhammad Ali.Ben Davison was speaking to talkSPORT presenter Jim White ahead of Fury’s upcoming encounter with six-foot-eight WWE wrestler ‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman at Saudi Arabia’s Crown Jewel event.Despite being a professional boxer and recently suffering a serious eye injury at the hands of Otto Wallin, the Gypsy King is swapping the ring for the squared circle. It all came after Fury was attacking ringside by Strowman during FOX's debut of WWE SmackDown on Friday nights, and since then, the two have had a back and forth feud, which will come to its conclusion this Thursday in Saudi Arabia. However, his boxing trainer Davison is still setting his sights on things closer to home.

Davison was asked how special a sporting character Fury truly is, to which he replied: “I have said it a few times now, but I believe once Tyson has finished with the sport, him and Muhammad Ali have so many resemblances and I think that in time people will see that.”

Davison continued: “I am just pleased that Tyson can be himself and that the public are responding so well to it.”

Fury’s trainer also shared how Tyson is getting on with training for his WWE wrestling debut.

“Even though the bout is predetermined, the training itself is still so demanding. It is also a chance for his boys to see him in the ring.”

Crown Jewel is due to take place on October 31, 2019 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
