Well, it's safe to say that Deontay Wilder has caused quite the stir ahead of his rematch against Luis Ortiz. And to be honest, with good reason. During a promotional video, where Wilder was more or less hailed as the greatest thing since sliced bread, the American boxer compared himself to the likes of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Within the video, he stated: “I am your Ali, I am your Holyfield, I am your Mike Tyson...combined in one.”The social media stunt has caused quite the backlash online with many fans taking their frustration out on the American heavyweight. Many of these criticisms and angered responses have been posted in response to the video posted on Twitter.

“Swinging dangling arm shots in the air hoping they will land. I don't think so. He was handed the belt on a plate and decided to continue playing safe," one user said.

Another said: “All three of those guys would have individually beat him in their prime.”

Whereas others stated: “Mate you are nothing like Ali, Mike Tyson or Holyfield in terms of boxing credentials and skill."

The video itself was also quite interesting and, if we're being honest, quite misleading.

Aside from the likes of Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield questioning the legitimacy of his claims, Tyson Fury won't be too happy either.

The video contained a segment where Fury was viciously knocked to the ground by Wilder in the 12th round of their fight. However, it implied that this, and other fights, were a walk in the park for the Bronze Bomber.

However, in reality, and for followers of the sport or anybody with fully-functioning eyes, could see that it was a difficult fight for Wilder and, arguably, he probably should have lost.

Nevertheless, Wilder will undoubtedly record a routine victory over Ortiz and the fans will be hoping that a Wilder vs Fury rematch will finally take place.
