Every player remembers their debut but you can guarantee that Neco Williams will remember more about his than most. The 18-year-old right-back started for Liverpool against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening as a remarkable game played out.Liverpool took the lead after an own-goal by Shkodran Mustafi but Arsenal had a 3-1 lead before too long.James Milner pulled one back before half-time but Ainsley Maitland-Niles restored the two-goal lead shortly afterwards. The Reds were level just eight minutes later, however, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divock Origi scored brilliant goals.

But Joe Willock outdid them with an incredible strike to make it 5-4 on 70 minutes.

Things weren't done, though, as Origi bagged a second - and the all-important equaliser - on 94 minutes.

Williams more than played his part, too, as it was his cross that allowed Origi to convert.

The game went to penalties and Curtis Jones grabbed the headlines by slotting home the winner.

A sensational game of football that will live long in the memory.

And William stood out, not just for his efforts in the equaliser, but his overall performance.

As highlighted by Sky Sports, the teenager enjoyed the most touches, the most crosses, the most tackles, the most interceptions, and the most blocks.

All of that and an assist for the equaliser; Liverpool appear to have a special player here.

It's too soon to say that Trent Alexander-Arnold needs to watch out, of course - he's set pretty high standards himself - but Williams certainly appears to be one to watch.
