Marcus Rashford scored one of the best free-kicks you will see this season against Chelsea last night.

With the score locked at 1-1 going into the final 15 minutes, Rashford stepped up to smash an unstoppable free-kick from 35 yards into the roof of the net.

It really was a terrific goal and one that sent Manchester United through to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

His effort also brought back shades of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rashford has been trying to emulate Ronaldo's 'knuckleball' technique for some time and he finally got it right last night.

Ronaldo's best free-kick in a United shirt - and possibly the best of his career - came against Portsmouth back in 2008.

The Portuguese forward's effort smashed into the top corner and left David James stranded.

The two free-kick's have now been put into a side-by-side video and you can watch them together below:

Magic from the pair of them. But which one was better?

Both of them were absolutely unstoppable. But our vote goes to Rashford seeing as his was slightly further out.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also drew comparisons between Ronaldo and Rashford after the game.

"It's very Cristiano-like, isn't it?" Solskjaer said to MUTV, per Sky Sports.

"The boy has got nerves of steel, takes a penalty, no problem. Steps up and hits the ball like he does and wins us the game - fantastic.

"Marcus has that strike in him. I've seen him in training so many times.

"When you give young lads the experience, like Brandon Williams got tonight - and the kid was outstanding - it's only going to help them.

"We know we're not the finished product, we're a work in progress and keep trying to improve. We were excellent, with fast flowing football. That's Manchester United. We're trying to get back to that."
