Marcus Rashford scored a pretty decent goal against Chelsea, didn't he?

Manchester United's Carabao Cup tie at Stamford Bridge was finely in the balance after Rashford's penalty and Michy Batshuayi's equaliser, when the Red Devils won a long-range free-kick.

Just about every United fan across the country was urging Rashford not to shoot but - contrary to their demands for a cross - the 22-year-old lined up an ambitious strike.

But it turned out to be an inspired decision. Rashford caught the lighter Carabao Cup ball right in the sweet spot, sending it hurtling past Willy Caballero with some rollercoaster-like movement.

It will go down as one of the goals of the season, there's no doubt about it and the strike even inspired United to look back at their greatest free-kicks of the Premier League era.

United's 10 best free-kicks since 1992

Taking to YouTube two days after the goal, they posted the video: 'Ronaldo or Rashford? I Top 10 Free-Kicks I Manchester United' and it makes for an enthralling six minutes.

Check out their suggestions for the 10 best United free-kicks since 1992 and see if Rashford really did catapult himself right to the top.

10. Ryan Giggs vs Blackburn Rovers (1992/93)

Right at the start of the Premier League era, United's longest-serving player had Bobby Mimms clutching at thin air with a brilliant combination of power and curve from 30 yards.

9. David Beckham vs West Ham United (2000/01)

It isn't even a spoiler to say this won't be Beckham's last appearance on the list and the fact this belter at Upton Park is only his third best for United is testament to his brilliance.

8. Wayne Rooney vs Stoke City (2016/17)

There couldn't have been a better way for Rooney to crown himself United's record goal-scorer, sweeping a glorious strike past Lee Grant with the toughest angle of any free-kick on the list.

7. David Beckham vs Barcelona (1998/99)

One of Beckham's most iconic strikes. As United romped their way to a historic, treble-winning season, their set-piece specialist produced an inch-perfect effort against Barcelona.

6. Denis Irwin vs Liverpool (1993/94)

Irwin's ability from free-kicks has been badly underrated since his retirement and the fact none of the United players positioned themselves in the box proved they knew something special was going to happen.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo vs Sunderland (2007/08)

Not shown as regularly as it deserves because of a certain other free-kick on this list, Ronaldo's rip-roarer at the Stadium of Light is one of the greatest goals, never mind set pieces, of his career.

4. Juan Sebastian Veron vs Bolton Wanderers (2001/02)

Things didn't really work out for Veron at Old Trafford, but he was never far away from a moment of brilliance and defying Jussi Jaaskelainen from over 30 yards was one of those times.

3. David Beckham vs Everton (2002/03)

There are just some goals in football that you can watch over and over again. That's exactly the case with Beckham's free-kick at Goodison Park, his masterpiece from 11 years with United.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo vs Portsmouth (2007/08)

They'll be playing back this goal in Ronaldo compilations for decades to come and David James' bewildered reaction is almost as good as the textbook knuckle-ball strike itself. Iconic.

1. Marcus Rashford vs Chelsea (2019/20)

A very brave call from United to declare Rashford's free-kick as the very best, but the fans are in agreement on their online poll and the Englishman's hit was truly something special.

Almost 30 years of action from arguably the world's biggest club means brilliant players, fantastic moments and some inevitable magic from free-kicks.

When Ronaldo's screamer against Portsmouth buckled the Old Trafford netting, nobody in the stadium could have imagined that would ever be topped by a United player.

But with one viciously moving strike at Stamford Bridge, Rashford might just have taken the title from the very player he based his free-kick technique upon. That's what United think, anyway.
