SmackDown was shaken up last night with the invasion of multiple NXT superstars.
It wasn't the original plan, but Vince McMahon was backed into a corner due to the state of what was occurring in Saudi Arabia following Crown Jewel.
The majority of WWE talent and staff were grounded in Riyadh due to mechanical problems with a chartered plane, meaning that SmackDown were thin on the ground when it came to show-time in Buffalo.
One superstar who did make it back to the States in time though was the WWE Champion - Brock Lesnar.
Fresh off the back of his successful title defence against Cain Velasquez, Lesnar hopped on his private jet back Stateside, meaning he was one of the few SmackDown stars who was in the country.

One other issue that emerged from Crown Jewel though was that the blue brand now had two world champions, with Bray Wyatt capturing the Universal Championship from Seth Rollins.
After WWE fans were subjected to watching Lesnar's whole match with Velasquez once again on SmackDown, Paul Heyman ranted about how Rey Mysterio tried to brutalise Lesnar post-match at Crown Jewel.
Heyman revealed that SmackDown superstars are contractually obligated to stay on FOX programming, and Raw stars can only appear on the USA Network from now on, meaning that Lesnar couldn't go hunting for Rey on Monday nights.
There was one solution though - Heyman announced that Brock was quitting SmackDown for good, just a month after being drafted by FOX.
One of the champions realistically had to go, but it was widely expected that Wyatt would be the one to make the move over to the red brand.
Whilst Lesnar isn't officially a Raw superstar yet - he's a 'free agent' - it looks like we are going to get a Lesnar v Mysterio bout in 2019, 16 years after their first.
That should be a good watch but the issue still remains that WWE has a part-time world champion - and who knows how often he will show up in the near future.News Now - Sport News
