Monaco star Ruben Aguilar has summed up how many football fans are feeling about VAR right now.

The right-back has been filmed kicking the pitchside monitor after being sent off during his side's 1-0 defeat to Saint-Etienne on Sunday night.

Aguilar was shown a straight red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity in the 92nd minute.

While he can have few complaints about being given his marching orders, it's the way VAR was used during an incident earlier in the match that has irked him.

Saint-Etienne's defender Wesley Fofana also denied Monaco a goalscoring opportunity earlier in the second half and was sent off by the referee.

But, after VAR intervention, the decision was overturned for offside in the build-up, meaning Fofana stayed on the pitch.

Aguilar was evidently fuming about both incidents as he made his way to the tunnel and kicked out at the pitchside monitor.

Yep, that's how most of us are feeling about VAR these days.

Once again, there was controversy in the Premier League this weekend.

Roberto Firmino had a goal chalked off despite the replay appearing to show him onside. The Premier League ruled that he was off due to his armpit - that's how close it was.

Then, during Chelsea's win at Watford, the technology gave a very soft penalty to the hosts, after Gerard Deulofeu went down under Jorginho's challenge.

On-field referee Anthony Taylor originally turned down the appeal, before Mike Dean reversed it. Thankfully, those decisions didn't impact either results in the end.

VAR had another busy day on Sunday and was called into action on a number of occasions during Everton vs Tottenham.

First Son Heung-Min had a penalty appeal turned down, then Dele Alli got away with a clear handball in his own penalty box. Many fans claim VAR got both wrong.

The technology is hardly covering itself in glory at the moment, meaning we might see a few more players kicking out at monitors like Monaco's Aguilar.
