Frank Lampard is leading a revolution at Chelsea. 

The club legend took over last summer, inheriting a squad that had just lost star man Eden Hazard and one that was also faced with a two-window transfer ban. 

Not much was expected of Lampard in his first season, but it's fair to say he's already done more than many fans thought was possible. 

Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League and top of their Champions League group, while an exciting crop of young talented players are the stars at Stamford Bridge. 

But that's not enough for the manager apparently, who has confirmed he wants to improve his squad as soon as possible - to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.  

There's plenty of talk that Chelsea's transfer ban will be overturned by January and if it is, Lampard wants to spend big. 

"Listen, I think as Chelsea we will always look to improve in windows if we can," he said during a pre-match press conference.

"If we’re allowed to and if the players we might look at are better or we feel are worth adding to the squad." 

Per The Telegraph, the club are targetting five big names and if the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturns their transfer ban later this month, Lampard will get £150 million to spend in January. 

Three of the five players on Chelsea's radar are attackers, with Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho all linked. 

The Blues are also interested in two young Premier League defenders - Nathan Ake and Ben Chilwell. 

If the transfer ban is lifted before January's transfer window, it's still unclear which of those stars Chelsea will go after, but fans will be excited that the club has a genuine interest in all of them.
