When we say you won't believe the goal Tottenham have just scored, we really aren't kidding. The trip to Red Star Belgrade is regarded as one of the toughest on the continent, but Spurs flew out the blocks in Serbia and created a number of early opportunities.Harry Kane tested the water with a strike into the side netting, Son Heung-min threatened with a left-footed strike that bobbled wide - and the deadlock was eventually broken in the 34th minute. It looked a pretty straightforward attack as Kane raced through one-on-one with the goalkeeper, yet his prodded effort actually struck the post.Son then latched on to the rebound and was his effort hooked off the line, before a combination of Dele Alli and Serge Aurier tried to keep the attack alive.

Spursiest goal in history?

They succeeded enough to scramble the ball to Kane, who proceeded to find Son across the six yard box, only for the South Korean to inexplicably hit the crossbar from centimetres out.

And just as it looked as though Tottenham had completely blown their chance, Giovani Lo Celso - on his first start for the club - finally lashed the ball into the net.

Positive start for Tottenham

At the time of writing, Tottenham are maintaining their 1-0 lead and will be hoping to score a second consecutive win over Red Star in order to keep the pace with Bayern Munich.

Spurs drew 2-2 with Olympiacos in the opening game week, suffered a shocking 7-2 defeat to the Bavarians and then stuffed tonight's opponents 5-0 in north London.
