Nate Diaz has hinted that he has retired from UFC.

Diaz suffered defeat to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 last weekend.

The American fighter sustained two nasty cuts in the bout before it was stopped in the third round.

There has been talk of a rematch between the two but any chance of a second fight appears to have been extinguished by Diaz.

"F*** a rematch this shit was over before it started," he wrote on Instagram on Thursday morning.

"I’m goin on out on tour. Peace out fight game."

Diaz initially appeared to be pursuing a rematch as he immediately announced his intention to fight Masvidal again after the loss.

“I would love to run it back,” Diaz said after the loss, per mmafighting.com. “That’s the only thing I want to do. That’s my full attention now.

"But I can already see the f*ckery coming. I know how this game works.

“I give all the rematches and make a name for these people. I believe I was responsible for this whole s*it. I brought the president, straight up. I didn’t see no president going to know title fights.

"I believe it’s fair. Hopefully, they don’t throw a bunch of money and clout Jorge’s way to be like, ‘Let’s do something else.’”

The 34-year-old has fought 32 times in his career, winning 20 times and tasting defeat on 12 occasions.
