Tyson Fury formed a brief tag team with Braun Strowman on SmackDown

Tyson Fury watches on as Braun Strowman slams Curtis Axel

He didn't rule out a return to WWE following Crown Jewel, but not even Tyson Fury would have predicted he'd be back in a wrestling so soon.

It was only nine days ago that he defeated Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia, but earlier this week it was announced that The Gypsy King would be making an appearance on SmackDown.

There was good enough reason, with Fury calling Manchester, England his home-city, and the blue brand was being taped at the Manchester Arena last night.

No-one has ever doubted Fury's ability to become a WWE superstar due to his athleticism and charisma, and he also has no problems speaking in-front of a big crowd, which is what he did during SmackDown.

Fury received a great reaction for his appearance, and declared that although he has unfinished business with Deontay Wilder which he will be sorting out in February, he needed to return to talk to 'the big dosser' Strowman.

Instead of a big showdown between the pair, they ended up shaking hands as Fury thanked him for the experience, and then put the idea to Strowman that they should become a tag team if they were to ever fight again.

After Strowman declared that there's no team in WWE stupid enough to challenge the pair of them, The B-Team just happened to prove them wrong.

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel walked straight into a mauling, with Braun sending them both flying with his signature charge outside the ring, and following that he rolled Dallas into the ring to be dropped by a big Fury right hand.

Axel then suffered a Running Powerslam from the Monster Among Men, before both Fury and Strowman lapped up the attention from the crowd and celebrated.

It wasn't a match, but it was something fun to end the SmackDown taping for the fans.

Fury will definitely not be back in a WWE ring anytime soon, but after he faces Wilder in February, who knows what may happen - he may even go for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania with Strowman!
