Wilfried Zaha was far from his best against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Ivorian winger would have fancied his chances going into the game after seeing he was playing against Reece James.

That's no disrespect intended for the 19-year-old.

James was making his full debut in the Premier League and was against one of the best wingers in England's top tier.

But Zaha was unable to get into the game at all.

Whatever he tried, James always had an answer to.

Zaha ended up having arguably his worst game in a Crystal Palace shirt this season as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat.

Many Chelsea fans were raving about James' performance after the game and how he 'pocketed' Zaha.

And a video has now emerged on Twitter allegedly showing Zaha snapping back at a Chelsea fan.

The video appears to show a Chelsea fan deciding to remind him that he was in James' pocket as he left the stadium.

And how did Zaha reply? With a joke a Year 7 would have been proud of.

Chelsea fan: 'Reece James - in the pocket'

Zaha: 'I had your fu**ing mum in my pocket'

Incredible. He cut a frustrated figure during the game and was clearly rattled as he left it.

One man who shared the opinion that James kept Zaha quiet was Joe Cole.

“I’m disappointed with Zaha today. Reece James has got in his head,” Cole told BT Sport, per Goal.

“He’s let a young full-back dominate him. This Zaha five minutes ago was saying he wanted a move to the big clubs. He said he wanted to go and play for this club, that club.

“Reece James has come on his debut, got in his head and a player of his quality letting the ball under his feet. I think credit to Reece James but Wilf Zaha needs to show more if he wants to make that next step.”
