Manchester City's Bernardo Silva was at the centre of the biggest talking point from yesterday's 3-1 loss away at Liverpool.

The Portuguese midfielder handled the ball in the box just seconds before the ball struck the arm of Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Due to Bernardo's infringement, VAR could not award a penalty or cancel out Fabinho's opening goal, which was scored seconds after the incident.

Given it was the biggest moment in the game, Bernardo was asked about the handball in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.

However, the Portuguese was in no mood for talking and instead, he decided to take a leaf out of Jose Mourinho's book.

BERNARDO GOES FULL MOURINHO

When asked about the incident, Bernardo replies: "'If I speak I'll be in trouble, I don't want to speak."

Someone is clearly a big fan of the Mourinho meme!

In case you're unaware of how Mourinho's legendary 'I prefer not to speak' meme came about, allow us to explain.

After Chelsea were controversially beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa - with Willian and Ramires both being sent off - the Special One decided to deliver one of the most iconic post-match interviews ever.

You can watch the full interview below. For a man who would 'prefer not to speak', Mourinho sure said a lot...

MOURINHO 'I PREFER NOT TO SPEAK'

Whether you love or hate him, Mourinho is box office.

The Special One was on punditry duty in the Sky studio to watch Liverpool's win over City and the Portuguese declared that the Premier League title race was pretty much over.

Mourinho said: "City are capable of winning seven, eight, nine matches in a row, but I can't see how Liverpool can lose this advantage of nine points to them."
