Arsenal's season hit a fresh new low in the rain against Leicester on Saturday evening.

Unai Emery's side were beaten 2-0 by the Foxes, leaving the Gunners eight points off of the top four and with just one win in their last seven games in all competitions.

The pressure on Emery is growing daily, with a number of off-field issues not exactly helping the Spaniard's cause.

Granit Xhaka's clash with Arsenal fans against Crystal Palace was the catalyst for the chaos, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having to succeed the Swiss as captain of the club.

But it seems the Gabonese striker is only adding to the malaise behind-the-scenes.

As per David Ornstein for The Athletic, Aubameyang is raising eyebrows around the club due to his relationship with ArsenalFanTV regular, Troopz.

The striker has now been instructed by the club to stop inviting Troopz into his executive box - which is reserved for friends and family - on match days.

Aubameyang's activity on Instagram has also come under scrutiny, with the 30-year-old liking posts criticising Emery and encouraging the sale of Xhaka, leaving team mates and staff 'unimpressed'.

There is now a divide in the dressing room over whether Aubameyang is the right man to captain the club, with some believing Xhaka was unfairly scapegoated and 'thrown under the bus'.

The whole debacle just reinforces the point that Arsenal are a complete and utter mess right now, with things likely to only get worse.

Aubameyang is stalling on signing a new contract as he wants to see if the club can qualify for the Champions League, a goal which looks more unrealistic with every passing week.

Then you have Emery's dull style of play, which is sucking what little atmosphere was left out of the Emirates.

It's only a matter of time before the protests and banners are back out in full force.
