Sterling, who had a tough afternoon against Trent Alexander-Arnold, backed into Gomez, and the Liverpool man responded by pushing him in the chest.

Former Liverpool player Sterling responded by shoving into Gomez’s back with his shoulders, prompting James Milner to intervene.

England manager Gareth Southgate was already planning to speak to Leicester City star James Maddison after he visited a casino during the Three Lions' defeat to the Czech Republic last month.

Maddison had withdrawn from the squad through illness.

Now he's going to have to deal with this feud between Gomez and Sterling ahead of England's European Championship qualifiers.
