Stipe Miocic wants a new challenge in UFC, and the man he has his eyes on is not even signed to the promotion. That man is boxer Tyson Fury.Stipe Miocic hasn't fought against anyone in UFC since he defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 241 back in August for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.Naturally, since Cormier also has a win over Miocic, many UFC fans expect a rubber match between the two to take place to declare a winner in their friendly feud which began back in 2018.However, if the UFC Heavyweight Champion gets his way, his next fight inside the Octagon will be against no other than Tyson Fury.Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Miocic revealed that he wants to face The Gypsy King in what would be his first MMA fight because he would like a new challenge.

He said, via BJPenn.com: “Tyson Fury is coming in the mix now, I hear. I like a new challenge.”

The UFC Heavyweight Champion added that a fight vs Fury interests him more than a third fight vs Cormier because he believes his win at UFC 241 proved he is the better fighter.

He also added that he didn’t get a lucky punch in his win, unlike DC who knocked out Miocic in the first round of their first fight at UFC 226 in July 2018 to win the UFC Heavyweight title.

Miocic said when asked about Fury: “I’d love to box him. He’s a great fighter. He’s a good dude, and I think we’d put on a good show.

“With DC, I didn’t fluke knock him out, I beat him. I decisively beat him. The first fight DC caught me with a punch in the first round. But [the] second fight I won. I didn’t get lucky.

"Right now, [a Cormier fight] doesn’t really intrigue me. More with the Tyson Fury, I like that.”

Whether or not Miocic gets his wish remains to be seen, as Fury has not even signed a deal with UFC and there has been no indication that he will anytime soon.

The Gypsy King, however, has been training recently with UFC's Darren Till, which caught the attention of Dana White on social media.

A fight between Miocic and Fury could very well be on the UFC President's mind.
