There won't be many happier men than Jurgen Klopp at the moment.

The German manager watched his Liverpool side outclass Manchester City on Sunday evening as he once again got the better of Pep Guardiola.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, on top of Fabinho's first half howitzer, saw the Anfield side take all three points in front of the Kop.

This current crop really does look capable of going one better than last season and finally ending Liverpool's painful Premier League duck.

The Reds have gone three decades without a domestic title but it looks like the clouds are beginning to gather over drought-stricken Merseyside.

You would think that the weight of 30-years of hurt would be weighing heavy on the shoulders of Klopp, but all evidence suggests that the enigmatic German is having an absolute blast.

And why not? His side is widely considered the best in the world, he's a European champion manager and he had a front-row seat to watch Guardiola lose the plot on Sunday.

Now, Klopp has further proved just how relaxed he is after a comical incident at a UEFA Managers Convention.

Speaking to the press ahead of the gathering, Klopp was being questioned about Pep when the man himself came round the corner behind him.

Klopp playfully whispered; "Pep Guardiola is coming!" before making a dash for it.

It really is hard not to love this man.

Klopp will know better than anyone, though, that Guardiola will not be giving up on the chance to win three consecutive titles just yet.

There are still 26 games to go and anything can happen between now and May.

However, after their scintillating start to the season, Klopp will be quietly confident that this - dare we say it - is Liverpool's year.

They are certainly going to take some stopping.
