One of the most talked-about storylines in WWE right now is the Raw storyline between Rusev, Lana, and Bobby Lashley.

The storyline, which has seen Lana leave Rusev for Bobby Lashley for what feels like several different reasons, has been criticised heavily by fans and critics alike.

WWE fans are struggling to buy-in into this storyline as they know there aren't any real marital problems between real-life couple Rusev and Lana.

Yet, WWE keeps pushing the storyline on Monday Night Raw each week despite the boos and the bad reception it receives from the live audience inside arenas.

During a recent interview with SunSport, The Bulgarian Brute gave his thoughts on his current storyline, if he was forced to do it, and why he's actually praising the angle.

He said: "It's a collaboration. There's adjustments that we make, but that's just life.

"We're committed to our characters on TV, so we just have to make slight adjustments, but we're professionals and we're coping with it.

"It's great, I think we are in the best storyline currently going on and the best storyline that's been around for years.

"It's getting a lot of views and a lot of eyes on it. Some people like it, some people love it, but at the end of the day, it's the hottest storyline going on."

While it's unclear if the segments are causing good TV ratings, the views on WWE's YouTube channel for each one of the segments are well into the millions.

An angle from the Rusev-Lana-Lashley storyline from two weeks ago currently has 7.3 million views on YouTube. Their segment from this week's Raw currently has 700,000 views on YouTube.

The negative backlash from this angle has gone too far in some cases, as Lashley has received death threats because of the angle, and Lana has also been dealing with the social media trolls.

The main concern WWE fans have with this angle is the damage it could do to Rusev's future in WWE as if the angle is taken too far, it has the potential to bury him beyond repair.

It looks like The Bulgarian Brute is happy with the direction the storyline is going in, but many WWE fans will be happier once this storyline is brought to an end.
