CM Punk made his sensational return to WWE television on Tuesday night, appearing on Fox Sports' 'Backstage' show. The two-time WWE Champion, who controversially left the company back in 2014, will return for a role on the weekly panel programme, which airs only in the United States. His first appearance will be next week. In the final moments of Tuesday's show, he walked into the sounds of 'Cult of Personality' - the entrance music he used during his in-ring career."It's as simple as this: Just when they think they've got the answers, I change the culture," Punk said as he stared down the camera, before adding: "I'll see you here next week."

Check out the clip below, which has quickly gone viral:

Although nothing has been mentioned about an in-ring return, fans will be hoping that these appearances on WWE Backstage will eventually lead to just that.

However, we're not sure if it will happen soon, or even at all.

But with Survivor Series in Chicago - Punk's hometown- later this month, it seems inevitable he will be making an appearance there.

Just imagine the pop he'll get if 'Cult of Personality' hits at the Allstate Arena on November 24.
