Britain’s ‘worst boxer’ calls out KSI after impressive win over Logan Paul

KSI VS. Logan Paul 2

Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji or “JJ’ - better known as KSI - registered a commendable victory over rival Logan Paul as the duo made their professional debuts at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last weekend.

After the controversial draw last year, fans of both internet sensations were excited to witness the pair face off once again, and the performance inside the ring from KSI and Logan resulted in a hugely successful event, as confirmed by Matchroom Sport chief Eddie Hearn.

However, KSI has now been called out by an ex-boxer named Robin Deakin, who is also deemed 'Britain’s worst boxer' for his underwhelming pro record of only two wins and 53 losses in his career which spanned just over a decade.

Deakin is a former lightweight boxer, while KSI took the ring for his pro debut as a cruiserweight.

The 33-year-old Deakin told The Argus, as reported by The Sun: “I know KSI has beaten two YouTubers, but if he wants to be the best, he has to fight the worst.

“His reach and height doesn’t matter at all, and neither does the weight difference.

“I’ll put on two stone of fat and still batter him.

“It doesn’t matter how much muscle you have, it’s all about the heart.”

Born with club foot, Deakin could not walk until the age of six, won in his very first bout in 2006 against Shaun Walton, but succumbed to losses in the next 52 fights before witnessing another win to his name.

His second and only other victory came against Deniss Kornilovs in 2015, followed by back-to-back losses in the next two, ahead of calling time on his career.

He has recently switched to bare-knuckle boxing as he has not regained a pro license since retirement.

But Deakin believes if KSI is willing to take up the challenge, he can get a Spanish boxing license with BBBofC [British Board of Boxing Control] not willing to sanction the Sussex man.

Deakin ended by saying: “I haven’t currently got a gloves license, but I reckon I can get a Spanish one.

“I’ve got the heart to knock KSI out, if he’s up for a fight.”
