Robert Lewandowski has a better goal record than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo since 2017

Robert Lewandowski is the best striker on the planet right now.
His form since the start of the 2019/20 season has been staggering. The Bayern Munich star has scored in every single Bundesliga and Champions League game he's played in so far.
We're in NOVEMBER. Unreal.
Although the Pole has been getting a lot of plaudits recently, it's not just this season that he's been on fire.
In fact, since the start of 2017 he's statistically been the best forward in the world, even ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
- We need to put Lewandowski in the Ballon d'Or conversation
- The loan players with the highest values in football
- Bayern want Guardiola to return next summer
Thanks to data collected by Reddit user u/kazcmot, we can see that Lewandowski is scoring at an incredible rate of every 94 minutes, based on stats from between 2017 and 2019.
Messi is very close behind him, averaging a goal every 95 minutes, while Ronaldo does so every 100 minutes.
Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez also feature in the comparison, scoring every 105 and 146 minutes respectively. Check out the figures below:

Not only has u/kazcmat worked out the players' best overall goals-per-minute ratio, but he's also broken the stats down by different competitions.
Goals scored in each player's respective leagues, the Champions League, domestic cups and national team games have been analysed. Check out that table below:

Very interesting indeed.
ANALYSIS
GIVEMESPORT'S Ollie Browning says:
Robert Lewandowski is finally getting the recognition he deserves. He's been one of the best strikers in the world for many years now - not just since the start of this season.
It's arguably a bit of a stretch to claim that he's the best forward in the world ahead of Messi and Ronaldo - because being a good player is about more than just scoring goals.

But the Bayern star should certainly still be in that conversation.
In fact, it wouldn't be a big surprise to see him announced as one of the top three players in the world at December's Ballon d'Or ceremony.
