Carl Froch always struck a tone as an animated character during his professional career, and that reputation has continued since his retirement in 2014.Froch, who held the WBC, IBF, and WBA titles, has been working as an analyst for Sky Sports ever since he ended his career with an impressive victory against George Groves at Wembley. The 42-year-old has already sparked controversy this week after he claimed that he could finish off KSI or Logan Paul with a single punch.Although, having watched their fight on Saturday night, he's probably right with that one.Froch, however, also spoke about how he would fare against some of the contemporary stars of the sport. The Cobra claimed that he would be able to beat both Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin if he had faced them while still active. Alvarez has held unified WBC and WBA middleweight titles since 2018, and secured the WBO light heavyweight title by beating Sergey Kovalev earlier this month in Las Vegas.Meanwhile, Golovkin recovered from defeat by Alvarez last September to secure the vacant IBO and IBF middleweight titles last month, via a majority decision victory over Sergiy Derevyanchenko. The Kazakhstani was also ranked as the world's best pound-for-pound boxer betweeen 2017 and 2018 by the Ring Magazine.Froch was, however, quick to dismiss both the boxer's credentials, criticising Alvarez's speed, with the Mexican stepping up two weight classes to challenge Sergey Kovalev, while he attacked Golovkin's height. On the prospect of a fantasy bout with Alvarez, Froch commented: "When I watched Canelo fight Kovalev I just wasn't impressed. I thought it was close, but I thought he was losing. At that weight he's slower... He reminded me of Arthur Abraham when I fought Abraham... I feel I'd have been able to do that to Canelo when he fought Kovalev, that version of Canelo."Froch spoke of his physical assessment of Golovkin, also referencing the 37-year-old's lengthy clash with Martin Murray in Monaco back in 2015."I'd have been too much for him. I met him and he's 5'9"/5'10"... me as the fighter and warrior I was when I was fighting, I was shaping and sizing him up thinking, 'If I ever fight you, no problem, end of a jab, walk you into some shots, I'd be too much for you.' He went eleven rounds with Martin Murray. At that sort of level, you're not gonna give me a problem."

While Froch is unlikely to return to the ring at this age, his fearless and intimidating approach would have been a spectacle against these two world champions.
