Cristiano Ronaldo is a phenomenon.

The Juventus forward has been at the top of his game for well over a decade now and many fans consider him one of the greatest players of all-time.

At club level, he's won it all. League titles in three different countries, domestic cups and of course, the Champions League - he's won that five times.

Even on the international stage, Ronaldo has been a winner.

He captained Portugal to glory at Euro 2016, before winning the UEFA Nations League last summer.

But there is one honour he may never get his hands on - the World Cup.

In truth, despite CR7's best efforts, his nation hasn't really come close to winning the big one.

Of course, you can't choose which country you represent, but Ronaldo does believe that if he was Brazilian, he would have won the World Cup at least five times already.

No, seriously.

His Juventus teammate Danilo has recently done an interview with Goal and admitted that Ronaldo sometimes jokes about how successful he would have been had he hailed from South America.

"I knew him from our time at Real Madrid and it was nice to be back with him at Juve,” the full-back said.

"Along with his great quality, Ronaldo has this attention for detail that really explains the results he has achieved.

"He even told me that, if he had played for Brazil, we would’ve won another five World Cups already."

Just imagine that for a second. Ronaldo ripping it up with the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka and Neymar. How amazing would that have been to see?

Considering he's contributed a ridiculous 98 goals to Portugal, it's hard to argue with CR7's claim. But, he might have one more chance to finally win the World Cup in 2022.
