Harry Kane continued his supreme goal-scoring form for England on Sunday night.

Just days after notching a hat-trick against Montenegro, his second for the Three Lions in 2019 alone, the Tottenham striker finished the year with an accomplished finish at Kosovo.

It rounded off his most successful calendar year for his country, finding the back of the net 12 times and elevating his international total to 32.

Kane is therefore England's sixth highest scorer in history and only Michael Owen, Jimmy Greaves, Gary Lineker, Sir Bobby Charlton and Wayne Rooney stand between him and the record.

However, what makes his goal-scoring record so impressive is that he's achieved it at the relatively young age of 26 years and 112 days at the time of writing.

Kane moves to 32 goals

It gives Kane plenty of time to score the 21 goals needed to draw level with Rooney and if he maintains his scoring rate from 2019, it will take him less than two years to do so.

But the more inevitable that him usurping Rooney becomes, the more Kane will be looking beyond the national record and feeling inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo's recent international surge.

And while it might seem heavy-handed to suggest that Kane could become one of the greatest international scorers ever at this stage, his current trajectory is more than promising.

Goals at 26 years and 112 days

That's because we decided to compare Kane's scoring record to other world-class strikers at the same to see if he's ahead of schedule for greatness or not.

Using Transfermarkt to refine the data, we've called on 11 forwards who were particularly prolific for their country - so check out the full comparison down below:

Note: Players such as Pele, Gerd Muller and Diego Maradona haven't been included due to a lack of exhaustive data on Transfermarkt due to their respective eras.

Impressive viewing for Kane

The Queen might as well pencil in Kane for his knighthood already.

The fact Kane has already scored more goals for his country than players like Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Henry and Ronaldo (both of them) really puts his international record into perspective.

Messi narrowly edges him out with three more strikes, perhaps giving Ronaldo food for thought, and Neymar's freakish CV for Brazil has never been clearer than with his 22-goal lead.

And sure, we know what you're thinking: Kane's goals haven't been scored against top opposition.

But aside from the fact he owns a World Cup Golden Boot and found the net on trips to France and Germany, his record is worthy of respect regardless of the context. Very well played, Harry.
