Liverpool have done some incredible work in the transfer market under Jurgen Klopp.

Immediately names like Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah spring to mind - alongside a whole host of others.

However, quite possibly Klopp's most astute signing as Liverpool boss was the one nobody saw coming.

Fans were left puzzled as to why Klopp would splash so much cash on someone and then refuse to play him, but the German was simply biding his time, allowing Fabinho to really settle in.

There was no looking back for Fabinho once he was finally unleashed on English football and now he is one of the first names on Klopp's team sheet.

So assured and stoic have been his performances at the heart of the Reds' engine room in fact, that Fabinho has come to be known as Liverpool's 'lighthouse'.

He played a massive role in helping the Reds lift their sixth European Cup and his performance in the second leg of the semi-final against Barcelona will go down in Anfield folklore.

Fabinho was a man possessed on that incredible night in May, crunching into tackles, wrestling the ball back at will and dominating the space in front of the Liverpool backline.

His bone-crunching challenge on Luis Suarez in the opening minutes proved to be a catalyst as Liverpool roared to one of the most memorable comebacks in history.

The scenes that followed that breathless ninety-minutes showed the fantastic relationship the players have with the fans on the Anfield terraces.

And now, new footage has emerged from the moment both fans and players alike belted out 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Fabinho can be seen in tears as he sings along before an impassioned air punch at the end of the anthem.

Liverpool fans - who thought they couldn't adore the Brazilian any more - simply fell in love with the footage.

It is incredible that even six months later, that night is still finding ways to take Kopites' breath away.

It is an incredible time to be a Liverpool fan as everything the club touches seems to turn to gold - or red if you prefer.

Eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, it would take a brave man to bet against Klopp's team.

It really could be their year.
