2019's edition of WWE Survivor Series is just around the corner, and it's going to be a historic event as NXT superstars will be competing for brand supremacy in the event for the first time.

Survivor Series this Sunday currently has seven matches booked for the show, five of which are brand supremacy matches, and two are title matches.

Brock Lesnar will be defending the WWE Championship vs Rey Mysterio in a No Holds Barred match, while 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt will be defending the Universal title vs Daniel Bryan.

There will also be 5-on-5-on-5 elimination matches between the men and women of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, as well as three brand supremacy matches between the women's, tag teams, and minor champions of each brand.

Even with brand supremacy on the line, there are still superstars on the show that need a win at Survivor Series more than most, whether it be for their brand or themselves. Let's take a look at five superstars that need a win the most at Survivor Series.

'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt

After finally winning the Universal Championship last month, 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt is now looking to solidify himself further as Universal Champion at Survivor Series.

His opponent on the show will be Daniel Bryan, and the two already have a strong history with one another in WWE, as for a brief period, Bryan was a member of The Wyatt Family during early 2014.

Not only would a win against Bryan here allow WWE to continue the booking direction of The Fiend picking up wins against Wyatt's former foes, but it will also give Wyatt is first big win since beating Seth Rollins for the Universal title at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

The Fiend needs to look more unbeatable again after a disappointing booking at Hell in a Cell, and Bryan can definitely bring the best out of him and make it look like a dominant win, even if their match goes on for 20 minutes.

Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks will be the captain of Team SmackDown in the women's 5-on-5-on-5 elimination match at Survivor Series, and it's the perfect opportunity for her to show off her dominance as a heel.

The Boss is yet to pick up a clean win on pay-per-view since making her return to WWE from her post-WrestleMania hiatus, so a win at Survivor Series is needed to change that record.

Better yet, if Banks was able to win the women's elimination match as the sole survivor, not only will it give SmackDown the win for the first time since 2016's brand split, but it will also give her momentum to go on and challenge best friend Bayley for the SmackDown Women's title.

Banks vs Bayley could carry SmackDown's Women's division all the way through to WrestleMania if booked correctly, and it can all start with a hard-fought win at Survivor Series for The Boss.

Shayna Baszler

The brand supremacy match between the women's champions of WWE is arguably the most intriguing match at Survivor Series as each superstar has a valid reason to win, but Shayna Baszler needs the win more than Becky Lynch and Bayley.

The NXT Women's Champion has been almost unstoppable in NXT and needs a fresh new challenge, one which will prove to the world that she's one of the best women's wrestlers in WWE.

However, going up against a rejuvenated heel Bayley and the most over superstar in WWE today in Lynch means there's a chance a loss here could be tough to recover from.

The Queen of Spades has shown enough in the NXT invasion angles over the past few weeks that she can win this match, and it could lead to a huge push for her on either Raw or SmackDown if WWE decides to move her now NXT's women's division is thriving.

Shinsuke Nakamura

No one would blame you if you forgot Shinsuke Nakamura was Intercontinental Champion, as it seems WWE has forgotten this very fact over the past few months on WWE TV as well.

When he faces off against United States Champion AJ Styles and NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong this weekend at Survivor Series, he won't be the favourite to win, but he needs to come out on top to recover his current WWE run.

WWE can afford to give The King of Strong Style the win in this potential match of the night candidate as well as Styles can fall back on The O.C. on Raw, while Strong can recover with The Undisputed ERA on NXT.

With Sami Zayn still as his manager, Nakamura can be built as a true king once more on SmackDown if he wins at Survivor Series.

Rey Mysterio

For the sake of the WWE Championship, Rey Mysterio needs to beat Brock Lesnar and become WWE Champion at Survivor Series.

There's always a worry that Lesnar will disappear with a title once more like he did several times with the Universal title, leaving Raw without a top title for months, so it would be best for WWE to take it off him.

However, there are ways WWE can do it in order to keep him strong for when he returns. The No Holds Barred booking could allow for Cain Velasquez to interfere in the match to help Rey win, making his first appearance since Crown Jewel.

Velasquez helping Mysterio capture the WWE title would be fitting after what Lesnar has done to both of them over the past few months, but it also keeps the door open for a future second match between the two former UFC fighters.

The Master of the 619 would also receive much-needed recognition, as he'll finally have a WWE title reign that will be longer than just a couple of minutes, as well as open the door for fresh feuds at the top of Raw's card.

Survivor Series may be advertised as the battle for brand supremacy, but these five superstars should go into business for themselves at the show in order to pick up a much-needed win.
