Wales have qualified for Euro 2020 following a 2-0 win against Hungary. The hero of the night was Aaron Ramsey as he scored a goal in each half as Ryan Giggs’ side finished second in their group behind Croatia.Welsh fans will now be preparing to travel all across Europe next summer.Sports pages in the UK will be plastered with Wales players celebrating their brilliant achievement.Meanwhile, over in Spain, the celebrations of the Welsh players will also be plastered over the back pages but for very different reasons.

That’s because Gareth Bale and his teammates were seen celebrating with a Wales flag that read: Wales, Golf, Madrid…in that order.”

That’s going to go down well in Madrid, isn’t it?

Wales fans have recently recreated their ‘Viva Gareth Bale’ chant to "Wales, golf, Madrid" to reflect his lifestyle.

And last week, the Real Madrid man admitted that representing his country was ‘more exciting’ than playing for his club.

“I definitely have more excitement playing for Wales,” Bale admitted. “I’ve been with most of the older players since we were in the under-17s.

"It’s like playing with your mates down the park on a Sunday. With Wales, I’m speaking my own language and feel more comfortable. But it doesn’t change what I do on the pitch. I always give 100% on the pitch wherever I am; that’s what I always strive to do.”

And when asked about his negative portrayal in the Spanish media, Bale said: “I find it hilarious to be honest, especially some of the pictures and stuff my friends send me. On one [front page headline] it said ‘triple bogey’ – and I’ve never had a triple bogey! At least give me an albatross! It’s funny. People don’t understand and don’t know what they’re on about. So I just find it quite funny.”
