Holland sent a strong message to the rest of the continent with a 5-0 win against Estonia in their final Euro 2020 qualifier.  But Georginio Wijnaldum and Frenkie de Jong sent an even stronger message to the wider football world with one of their goal celebrations. After the Liverpool midfielder scored early, he ran to the sidelines with his Barcelona counterpart and the two men put their arms side-by-side and pointed at their skin. You can watch the video below:

It's a powerful stand against racism that comes after another weekend of incident.

On Sunday, Excelsior striker Ahmad Mendes Moreira was subject to racist chants while playing in the Dutch second division.

His team walked off the pitch, delaying the match for 30 minutes before it was eventually restarted by the referee.

Ahead of Holland's fixture against Estonia, Wijnaldum admitted his shock at the terrible scenes.

"It really hit me on a personal level," he told reporters, per the Liverpool Echo.

"I never expected anything like this to happen in the Netherlands. I'm really shocked. It did happen, unfortunately, and the way people have talked about the incident really hurt me.

"It's a problem in society. As a player, you can't really change anything about it. But I still think that players should try and support each other. It's a problem in society and a problem that should be solved by our politicians."

The incident was clearly fresh in Wijnaldum's mind and he, along with De Jong, sent a brilliant message with their goal celebration.

All in all, it was a fantastic night for the midfielder. He captained his nation and scored a hat-trick as the Netherlands brushed aside Estonia in their final Euro 2020 qualifier.
