Wales have qualified for their second consecutive European Championships.Ryan Giggs' side needed to defeat Hungary in their last group game on Tuesday night to progress to next summer's tournament. And goals either side of half-time from Aaron Ramsey saw Wales secure a 2-0 victory at Cardiff City Stadium.Gareth Bale has had a tumultuous past few years at Real Madrid but he always seem to stand up and be counted whenever he is needed for Wales. And he did so again last night as he set up Ramsey's first.

Bale has often cut a dejected figure for his club side but he was the complete opposite last night.

He held up a flag saying: 'Wales, Golf, Real Madrid - in that order' as he celebrated his side's qualification.

And he also had a slip of the tongue in his post-match interview.

"It's about time he contributed isn't it? Bale said of Ramsey, before accidentally saying f***ing".

Bale almost immediately realised his mistake a he said 'oops' before continuing his interview.

Despite that slip-up, it's good to see the Welshman in such good spirits after what has been a difficult few years for him.

Bale went on to express his relief that his side can enjoy a major tournament once again.

"We knew all along that this would be a tough group and it would be close so we didn’t want to get carried away from the start but now we are there," he continued, per the Metro.

"We had the best time of our lives in France and we can enjoy it again with these amazing fans."
