Back in 2017, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder did not mince his words when discussing the record of the legendary Mike Tyson.

Iron Mike is regarded as one of the greatest fighters to ever lace up the gloves, but Wilder was not impressed when fans questioned his own personal record during an Instagram live session while driving his car.

They claimed that Wilder would not have lasted in the Tyson era and the Bronze Bomber fired back in pretty epic fashion.

Wilder replied: "Listen, listen, listen, listen!

"Folks, half of y'all motherf*****s don't know your history about... when it comes to the sport of boxing, let's face it, you do not know your history.

"You do not know your facts. You don't know s**t. All you know is what you hear. Go back and do your facts, go back and do your history.

"We love Mike Tyson, of course. We love 'em all. You know what I'm saying? I love 'em all. We love 'em all. They did a great job. But go back and look up your facts.

"If you go back - and I want somebody to answer this question for me - how many Hall of Fame fighters did Mike Tyson actually fight?

"And don’t bring up no motherf****** Michael Spinks that came from light-heavyweight to heavyweight that was terrified out of his mohterf***** boots. And don’t bring up Larry Holmes, because we know Larry was way past his prime. So how many of them? You come back with that?”

Wilder proceeds to scream down the camera that Tyson only fought two Hall of Fame fighters back in the day, citing Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield.

"Only two," he said "Only two. Only two. Holyfield beat him twice and Lennox beat him.

"Only two. So what the f**k y'all talking about?"

Even if you're a modern day KO artist, you still have to be a brave, brave man to slam Tyson's record.

And aside from Tyson Fury and - maybe - Luis Ortiz, Wilder's record still doesn't exactly look great...
