Barcelona are still struggling to get over the fact they failed to reach the Champions League final last season.

Ernesto Valverde’s side had one foot in the final after beating Liverpool 3-0 at the Camp Nou in the first-leg of their semi-final clash.

As their official Twitter account pointed out before the second-leg, all they needed to do was score one and Liverpool would need five - and they would surely score, wouldn’t they?

No, no they wouldn’t.

Meanwhile, at the other end, they couldn’t stop prolific goalscoring duo Georginio Wijnaldum and Divock Origi as they bagged a brace each to see Liverpool triumph 4-0.

Some say Barca haven’t recovered since.

They went on to lose the Copa del Rey final, have already lost three times in La Liga in 2019/20 and have been very unconvincing in the Champions League group stages this season.

To make matters worse, the club are releasing a documentary called ‘Matchday: Inside Barcelona” and it will feature an episode focusing on that night at Anfield.

The players are still attempting to erase those 90 minutes from their memories but the club seem keen to remind everyone of it.

But it’s not just the players that suffered that night. So did the fans.

And that includes Shakira.

The popstar is, of course, married to Barca defender Gerard Pique and she allowed the documentary to film her and their kids watching the second-leg in her home.

She probably expected it to be a comfortable evening for her, watching her husband reach another Champions League final.

Not quite.

And now, a trailer has been released showing Shakira watching the nightmare unfold in front of her eyes.

Just before Liverpool score their third goal, her son says “If it stays like this, it doesn’t matter. We’ll go through to the final.”

Seconds later, Wijnaldum makes it 3-0 and Shakira can’t quite believe it as her son looks on awkwardly.

We’ll have to wait for the episode to be released to see Shakira’s reaction to ‘Corner taken quickly, ORIGI!!!’
