Consider the thousands of pounds many spent earlier this year to travel to see Liverpool become the Champions of Europe in Madrid.

Now consider that on 24 May next year the Women’s Champion’s League final will be played in Vienna, and we have worked out how much it will cost to get you there.

In the last few months, especially in Barclay’s WSL, attendance figures for the women’s game have reached previously unheard of heights.

Just last weekend at the Women’s Football Weekender, across the weekend a record 74,247 fans turned out to watch their teams in the WSL. At Wembley, meanwhile, over 77,000 fans watched the Lionesses lose to Germany.

Clearly, the demand for women’s sport is steadily increasing… and now you could see an English side make it to the women’s Champions League final.

Where

The final is being held at Viola Park (sometimes known as the Generali Arena) in Vienna, the home of legendary Austrian side FK Austria Wien. With a maximum capacity of 17,656, it is unlikely any records will be broken, but it is sure to be a memorable occasion.

The stadium is just a half an hour bus or tram ride from the centre of the city, so getting it is not too tricky.

Bus ticket from central Vienna to the stadium: €8 (for a 24hr bus ticket)

Flights

Flights from London to Vienna itself could set you back around £112 if flying out on Saturday 23 May and returning Monday 25 May. If you are flying from Manchester, a return flight for the same dates comes in at around £150.

It is also well worth a look at flights from the UK to nearby Bratislava. The Slovakian capital is just over the border from Vienna and just an hours drive from the Austrian capital.

Match Tickets

Forget the eye-watering prices of the men’s finals, tickets for the women’s Champions League are just €8. €8! Get your hands on them before they sell out.

So, based on our current estimates (prices are subject to change), you could get from London to Vienna to see the women’s Champion’s League final for approximately: £130 !!!
