Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson admitted his side "lost their grip" before finding a late winner in the 2-1 npower Championship win over Bristol City.

A sloppy second-half showing looked like it would prove costly until striker Martyn Waghorn came off the bench to fire in a 92nd-minute winner to give the Foxes a fifth straight win.

"It was a great finish with a little bit of luck," Eriksson said. "It was a difficult game. We started well but then it became a battle and they were very physically strong."

He added: "We knew they were strong at set-plays. We talked about that before the game but they still scored from a corner. The win was very important. We lost grip of the game and you could feel the goal coming when they scored.

"We have a confident team but we have to play better at Cardiff on Tuesday if we want a result. We can listen to the results come in on Saturday now and we have put a bit of pressure on the teams around us."

Bristol City boss Keith Millen was understandably downbeat with the manner of his side's loss but picked out the positives from a strong second 45 minutes.

The Robins are six points above the drop zone but Millen is confident his side will have no issues with survival.

He said: "It's a hard one to accept. Football can be a cruel game at times. Sometimes you don't deserve to lose games and this game was that scenario.

"We had some really good play, especially in the second half, and the lads are really down. Both goals were poor from our point of view. Leicester have been on a great run and scored some great goals but both of them were scrappy and we have had chances to clear the ball.

"We can't feel sorry for ourselves and if we perform like that between now and the end of the season we will be fine."
