All eyes will be on the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia on December 7 as Anthony Joshua takes on heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr to regain his titles.

Both fighters are in the penultimate stages of their training camps with just a fortnight to go until the highly anticipated rematch.

But this time, Joshua believes he can outlast Ruiz Jr as he undergoes a special training regime to secure the victory in the neutral venue.

New footage has emerged showing AJ training specifically to block the left hook which has been Ruiz Jr’s USP.

It was that brain-shattering left hook from the Mexican-American that left AJ rattled in the third round of the bout when the pair met back in June.

Joshua has termed the shot as a “lucky punch of the Gods” and insisted it was that very move which caused his first loss as a pro.

The Brit is expecting a similar sort of attacking manoeuvre from his counterpart when they take to the ring one more time on December 7.

The video clip has AJ alongside Spaniard Angel Fernandez, who was drafted in by trainer Rob McCracken as an additional pad man, preparing Joshua for the left.

Acknowledging the swiftness of Ruiz Jr despite his bulky structure, AJ stated: “I'm fighting the best man in the world now. I'm going to whup him, and show how great I am.

“They think he's so great, so when I beat him I want everybody to bow to my feet and tell me how great I am.

“I couldn't beat Ruiz Jr before and get the credit I deserved.

“When I beat Ruiz Jr I want everybody to bow to my feet and tell me how great I am."

Talking about the fight itself as well as what he expects after he registers the win, the 30-year-old added: “You saw me in the ring [before the fight] - I wasn't fighting King Kong, was I? [I didn't have] that mindset.

“Apparently I'm fighting the quickest hands and the best fighter in the division. So once I beat him I want everybody to bow to me.

“It’s a restart, that’s the best way of explaining it.

“We’ve had plenty of time to prepare for the rematch, I’ve always had the challenger mindset.

“I’m in for a tough fight but I don’t have any fear of Andy. I’m not gun-shy, I’m ready to swing and trade.”
