The Jose Mourinho era has begun at Tottenham.No one could quite believe their eyes when they saw the Special One in his Spurs tracksuit, but it's something we're all going to have to get used to for the foreseeable future.Mourinho's first game pitted him against Spurs' big rivals West Ham and he couldn't have asked for a better start.Heung-min Son gave Spurs the lead on 35 minutes and just before half-time, Dele Alli produced a magical piece of skill to help setup the second goal.The Englishman somehow managed to flick the ball into the path of Son on the floor, with the South Korean crossing for Lucas Moura to tap home.

Mourinho opted to play the Englishman behind Harry Kane, with Christian Eriksen on the bench and the decision appears to already being paying dividends.

With two flying wingers - Son and Moura - either side of him, Alli has thrived, with Eric Dier and Harry Winks offering defensive protection behind him.

If Mourinho can get Alli back to his best, both Spurs and England will benefit.
