It's official: Deontay Wilder is the most powerful fighter in boxing. After being completely outboxed for six rounds during his rematch with Luis Ortiz, the WBC heavyweight champion ended the contest with one straight right hand to retain his belt.Ortiz had been the more active fighter, agitating his 2018 conquerer with a regular supply of counter punches and wobbling his own jab through Wilder's 83-inch reach. But nothing can possibly compare to Wilder's raw strength and there are few fighters in the world that are such a live threat despite being completely buried on the scorecards. You only need to look at Wilder salvaging a draw against Tyson Fury by flooring the lineal champion in the 12th round, even if the Brit was miraculously able to regain his footing.

Wilder wins by knockout

The same can't be said for Ortiz, however, who looked absolutely bamboozled by the shot and he couldn't beat the count as he did with his first few knockdowns during their original clash.

Instead, the Cuban was left sprawling on the canvas as Wilder raced to his corner, greeted the Las Vegas crowd from atop the ropes and looked forward to a thrilling 2020.

However, before we join Wilder in focusing on the next fights down the line, it would be rude not to analyse yet another knockout punch from the American.

Slow-motion footage emerges

Wilder has the best knockout percentage in heavyweight championship history and has put every one of his opponents on the canvas at some juncture. In the case of Ortiz, it's now four times.

And this might be the most brutal punch that the Cuban has ever swallowed and it's taken a matter of minutes for slow-motion footage to do the rounds on Twitter.

Such was the unexpected nature of Wilder's punch that it was tough to truly appreciate in the moment, but you can now watch it in all its gradual glory in the videos down below:

Yeh, rather Ortiz than us.

The water that flies off Ortiz's head when it's knocked back by the shot really emphasises the power, while his face on the canvas suggests he barely knew where he was anymore.

And it's an outcome that makes the prospect of a Fury rematch all the more tantalising because the Brit is the only fighter to survive a Wilder haymaker and dodge defeat in the process.

Wilder then insists that he'll turn his attention to an undisputed fight.

Wilder has the most explosive punch in boxing and if he can detonate that right hand on Fury as well as Anthony Joshua or Andy Ruiz Jr, he'll take his place amongst the greats.
