Tony Bellew has had his say on Deontay Wilder’s knockout victory over Luis Ortiz, saying that the American heavyweight has ‘dynamite in his right hand.’Bellew sent the tweet this afternoon after Wilder retained his WBC heavyweight belt by knocking out Cuban boxer Ortiz in the seventh round.Bellew said: “Say what you want about Deontay Wilder and his boxing ability! It doesn’t matter he has dynamite in his right hand!”But Twitter users called out the former WBC cruiserweight champion, with one saying: "AJ will spark him [Wilder] out."Another reminded Bellew of his controversial past with Wilder, saying: "Remember when you called him the worst heavyweight champ of all time?"

Bellew and Wilder have an interesting past to say the least.

In March 2019, Bellew called fellow Brit Anthony Joshua the best heavyweight around, while calling Wilder the ‘worst champ of all time’.

The pair also came face-to-face in a heated exchange back in 2017.

Wilder was outclassed by Ortiz for the first six rounds of this fight before landing a devastating right hand in the seventh. Ortiz was unable to beat the count like he did in the pair’s first meeting back in March 2018.

The victory means Wilder has now equalled Muhammad Ali by recording his 10th title defence since becoming WBC champion in January 2015.

However, the fight will encourage Wilder’s rivals, especially Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as he looked unsettled at times and was unable to land any significant punches before the knockout.

Wilder, who hails from Tuscaloosa in Alabama, is aiming to unify the heavyweight division.

“There should be one champion and I am the perfect man for that job,” he said after the fight.

Wilder’s next fight is believed to be a rematch with Fury. The pair recorded a draw when they last fought back in December 2018.

Fury’s trainer Ben Davison was ringside to see Wilder defeat Ortiz last night and will surely be encouraged by Wilder’s lacklustre performance.
