John Fleck gave Sheffield United an early lead in their game against Manchester United at Bramall Lane. The midfielder turned in a rebound from close range after Phil Jones had been completely bullied by Lys Mousset in the build-up to the goal.Jones was in a comfortable position to clear the danger when Mousset charged him out of the way, leaving the English centre-back sprawling on the floor.Mousset then squad the ball and Fleck scored after David de Gea had saved an initial shot.It was not a good look for Jones at all.

The 27-year-old has his fair share of critics and his latest clanger won't silence them.

It's remarkable to think that Jones is still starting for Man United in 2019.

Mousset bullies Jones

It's not as if Jones has been a regular for the Red Devils, mind.

He was making his first Premier League appearance of the season after being sidelined with hamstring problems.

This was Jones' first action since playing against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League a month ago.

Man United supporters will be hoping it's the last time they see him for a while.

Jones was selected over Axel Tuanzebe, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explaining his decision before kick-off.

"We know about Sheffield United’s strengths and we’ve got to defend well. Obviously set plays in the box, stop crosses," Solskjaer told Sky Sports before kick-off.

"We know tactically we have to be spot-on and of course mentally, because this ground is not an easy one if you don’t get a good start.

"So Jones comes in with the experience. He’s been fit now for a while and been training hard and well, so he will give us a good option in two positions."

Experience, yes. But quality? Not quite.
