Was it a point gained or two pointed dropped for Manchester United at Bramall Lane on Sunday?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were 2-0 down against Sheffield United until the 72nd minute when they staged a dramatic comeback to lead 3-2.

But Oliver McBurnie’s 90th-minute strike handed the Blades a 3-3 draw in a pulsating affair.

Solskjaer tried to look at the positives, praising his players for their reaction after going two goals down.

That mindset won’t sit well with the majority of Man United supporters, though.

Fans were less than impressed with the display and #OleOut was trending on Twitter after Lys Mousset made it 2-0.

And Gary Neville, on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports, expressed his fury with three first-team players.

Neville branded Man United’s attacking trio of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James “an absolute joke” while the Red Devils trailed 2-0.

“The lack of from movement from Martial, Rashford and James is a joke,” Neville said.

“It really is an absolute joke. All game. Nothing at all from them.

“Manchester United’s midfield is poor but you expect better from that front three.

“If you asked Chris Wilder to swap McGoldrick and Mousset for Martial and Rashford, he would say no.”

Rashford was the man to give Man United the lead after goals from academy talents Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood made it 2-2.

Neville later remarked: “I called them [United’s front three] a joke 15 minutes ago, that front three. Their movement was awful, non-existent.

“They weren’t even good out of possession, they weren’t closing down Sheffield United but they have quality.

“These last ten minutes they’ve come to life.”

And yet it still wasn’t enough. McBurnie’s late goal spoiled the party and Man United missed out on the chance to climb to fifth in the Premier League table.
