There have been some terrible business decisions to hit the headlines over the years; think Decca records turning down the Beatles, or publishers rejecting JK Rowling 22 times.

And then there's Amazon. Whoever decided that they should make a documentary about Tottenham Hotspur's 2019/20 season deserves a massive, massive pay rise.

What a moment to pick. The company probably bought the rights hoping to see another dramatic run to the Champions League final under Mauricio Pochettino.

Fast forward a few months - and it has to be said the filming itself played a part in the collapse of Poch's relationship with Daniel Levy - and they're now capturing Jose Mourinho on camera instead.

How frustrating that must be for the newly-christened 'humble one'.

Here is the Portuguese desperately trying to reinvent himself as a shrinking violet, one who had very little influence over Spurs' resurgence against West Ham. It was all down to the players, apparently.

Most football fans are sceptical about this act. Mourinho is trying to deflect for now, but the truth is he simply loves the limelight.

That leads us to a report in The Athletic, where it's claimed the 56-year-old is more than embracing his new role as Amazon's star character.

It's claimed that ahead of Saturday's 3-2 win at the London Stadium, referee Michael Oliver had to intervene to stop him wearing an Amazon microphone on the touchline.

Even more cheekily, the Spurs boss also wanted to wear the headset in the officials' office. No way, Jose.

Oliver stepped in to reprimand him just "moments" before kick-off.

Of course, it's unknown whether this was Mourinho's own request or whether he was instructed to wear the mic.

Either way, it would have been fascinating to listen to his instructions to the Tottenham players.

After Lucas Moura's goal, which came courtesy of a lovely back heel from Dele Alli while still on the floor, the new man in charge could be seen shouting "Dele, that is you!"

With or without access to Mourinho on the touchline, though, that documentary is going to be quite the watch.
