On his day, Paul Pogba is one of the best midfielders in world football.

However, he hasn’t had too many of his 'days' since rejoining Manchester United in 2016 for £89 million.

This season, the World Cup winner has made just five league appearances and hasn’t played since the 1-1 draw against Arsenal on September 30.

He’s recently been ruled out by a foot injury and has been seen wearing a supportive cast.

However, sensational reports in Spain are suggesting that Pogba is actually fully recovered but he’s just refusing to play.

COPE claim two sources “close to the changing room” have told them that Pogba wants to leave as soon as the window opens in January.

The report states that he wants to stay injury-free as he attempts to force through a move to Real Madrid.

And it seems the club - and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - are now willing to let him leave for around £130 million.

The club were angry that the midfielder posted videos of him playing basketball last week with NBA star Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat when he was supposed to be rehabilitating.

On Sunday, as United played out a 3-3 draw, Pogba showed that he was cheering on his teammates by watching the match on his phone.

Zinedine Zidane has been a long-time admirer of his compatriot and, with Real Madrid also struggling a bit this season, would surely jump at the opportunity to sign Pogba.

But the €150 million that United want for Pogba is the same figure that Los Blancos refused to cough up last summer.

Perhaps this time around, with Pogba seemingly more keen to force the move, a deal can be agreed.

Watch this space ahead of January…
