Reported Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea target Armin Bacinovic has revealed his intention to remain with Palermo.
The 21-year-old has been earning rave reviews for his performances during his debut Serie A campaign and – despite reported interest in his services – wants to stay in Sicily for ‘many years’.
"In Palermo I'm living a dream," said the Slovenian. "I want to stay here, even more so if we play in the Champions League next season.
"I do not want to change team - I want to say here for many years for the club and the people."
The midfielder moved to Palermo along with compatriot Josip Ilic and both have been consistently linked with moves to the Barclays Premier League - with their most notable reported suitors being Liverpool and Chelsea.
Last week Sportingo reported that Tottenham had entered the race for Bacinovic and were expected 'pip' Liverpool and Chelsea to his signature in the summer.
However, despite Spurs reportedly ready to splash €14 million to land Bacinovic, it appears a move is now unlikely to happen any time soon.
With Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea circling, the player’s agent was forced to respond to speculation and, despite Bacinovic revealing his wish to stay with Palermo, Amir Ruznic claimed his client would be ready to move to a ‘big club’ at some point in the future.
"Armin, in a few years, will certainly be ready for Liverpool or Chelsea, but now I know nothing,” he said.
"Just yesterday I spoke to someone asking about these rumours, of which I am not aware of. Certainly within a year, he will be a player ready for a top club."
Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea are expected to continue to monitor the progress of Bacinovic and remain hopeful they can lure him to England with the promise of a lucrative deal.
